The Certificate of Advanced Study in the European Union (EU) and Contemporary Europe is available to students in all professional and doctoral programs at Syracuse University who are looking to supplement their degree with a strong foundation in this region’s politics and culture or to prepare themselves for a career involving specialization in this region. In completing the certificate program, students are required to take at least 12 credit hours of study focused on the region, including one of the required courses and nine credits from a set of approved courses and/or approved other activities such as internships, independent study or capstone experiences. Admission:
Admission to this certificate program is open to all graduate students enrolled in Syracuse University interested in learning more about and acquiring a specialization in the European Union and contemporary Europe. Interested students are encouraged to interact with the director of the certificate program early in their tenure to develop a program of study as well as to complete the Graduate School’s Internal Admission form enrolling in the program.
