LAW 807 - Civil Rights LitigationCollege of Law 3 credit(s) Irregularly This course examines bringing and defending lawsuits alleging violations of federal civil rights laws, including: 42 U.S.C. § 1983; Title VII; the Americans with Disabilities Act; the Fair Housing Act; and Title IX. The course will also introduce students to intersectionality, and will study the impact of modern civil rights movements. Discussion of landmark cases will consider their historical context and recent litigation in which the cases have been applied.
