LAW 895 - Problems in Case Analysis and Appellate Advocacy Skills2 credit(s) Irregularly Legal reasoning through practice in developing written and oral arguments and reaching solutions to legal questions taken from actual cases. The emphasis will be on analysis and reasoning, not on learning legal rules. Many of the problems will be modeled on cases in the New York Court of Appeals which resulted in four to three decisions where there is no “right answer.” A discussion of some of these cases will inevitably entail arguments concerning social policy and legal philosophy.
