Introduction to skills and techniques related to information visualization, through the R programming language, Adobe Illustrator, data cleaning techniques, design concepts and ethics. Develop static data visualizations to explore and communicate findings from a variety of data sources. Conceptual themes will be presented alongside technical aspects of data visualization. Additional work and higher grading expected of graduate students.
