Study abroad is available with the College of Arts and Sciences. Further information about these opportunities can be found in the sections describing individual programs and majors and in the Other Programs section of this catalog.
Syracuse University Abroad (SU Abroad) maintains centers in Santiago (Chile), Beijing and Hong Kong (China), London (England), Strasbourg (France), Florence (Italy), and Madrid (Spain). Additional locations are available through SU’s World Partners Program and include Australia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, Germany, India, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Korea, Turkey, South Africa, the West Indies, and more. You can choose from year-long, semester, summer, or short-term programs, and prior knowledge of a foreign language is not required (with the exception of the Chile program). All programs offer fully accredited SU courses, and your financial aid travels with you. Most programs are open to qualified students regardless of major, and past participants have come from all the colleges and schools within the University, as well as from other campuses.
